Medication Reminders

Managing multiple medications on a complex schedule is one of the biggest challenges older adults face. Our medication reminder service ensures your loved one takes the right medications at the right time—every single day—giving your entire family peace of mind.

Staying on Track, Staying Healthy

For many seniors, a typical day involves multiple medications taken at different times, some with food and some without, some that interact with others. It is an overwhelming routine even for the most organized individual, and the consequences of getting it wrong can be severe. Missed doses of blood pressure medication can lead to dangerous spikes. Skipping diabetes medication can cause blood sugar emergencies. Taking a double dose because you forgot you already took one can result in falls, confusion, or a trip to the emergency room. Studies show that medication non-adherence contributes to nearly 125,000 deaths and up to 25% of hospitalizations in older adults each year.

At Khaliette Caring Hands, our medication reminder service is specifically designed to prevent these situations. Our trained caregivers arrive at scheduled times and provide clear, friendly verbal reminders when it is time for each medication. They help organize medication schedules into easy-to-follow routines, keep detailed records of when medications are taken, and communicate regularly with family members about adherence patterns. If a refill is running low, they help coordinate with the pharmacy so there is never a gap in supply.

This service is supervised by Balkisu Sesay, RN, BSN, MedSurg-BC, whose clinical background ensures that our medication reminder protocols meet the highest standards of safety and accuracy. Families across Rockwall, Hunt, Dallas, and Collin Counties rely on us to be the consistent, dependable safety net that keeps their loved ones on track with their medication regimens.

Important: Our caregivers provide verbal reminders and organizational support only. They do not administer, dispense, or physically handle medications. This distinction is an important regulatory requirement. The client (or their designated healthcare provider) is always the one who physically takes or administers their own medication. Our role is to remind, encourage, document, and communicate.
